The Fort William Library currently has a few books on the subject of beekeeping. By far the best of these is the Collins Beekeeper's Bible which has a wealth of information for the beginner and the more experienced alike. The book has over 400 pages and the main topics covered are:
Of particular value is the blank copy of a Queen & Colony Record that is included at the end of the book.
As with all books of this nature the only pitfall to avoid is that of the dates of seasons, or of months in which to do certain tasks, for as we all know they are usually offset by at least one month here in the Highlands.
